Dr. Heather Evans-Anderson

 Dr. Evans-Anderson is an assistant professor in the Department of Biology at Winthrop. She received her B.S. in Molecular Biology from Vanderbilt University and her Ph.D. in Biomedical Science from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in the Molecular Cardiology division at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Research Center prior to joining the faculty at Winthrop in January 2008. Evans-Anderson primarily teaches Human Physiology and Cell Biology.   In addition, she serves as a research mentor for undergraduate and graduate students. Dr. Evans-Anderson is a developmental biologist and her research interests focus on heart development and cardiac regeneration.
